PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IgA production promoter which has excellent action, and has excellent safety, environmental properties and productivity, an immunopotentiator, a method for extracting IgA, and IgA obtained by the extraction method.SOLUTION: The IgA production promoter comprises tempeh as an active ingredient, and the immunopotentiator comprises tempeh as an active ingredient. In the method for extracting IgA, feces is extracted from an object to which tempeh has been administrated, a solvent and a protease inhibitor are added to the feces, suspension is caused to prepare a suspension, the suspension is subjected to centrifuging to obtain a supernatant, and IgA is extracted from the supernatant.
