The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating hepatotoxicity comprising extracts of red ginseng, Saururus chinensis Baill., and Cimicifuga heracleifolia, and to a health functional food composition for preventing and alleviating hepatotoxicity comprising extracts of red ginseng, Saururus chinensis Baill., and Cimicifuga heracleifolia. The Saururus chinensis Baill., and Cimicifuga heracleifolia of the present invention, except for the red ginseng, are have high polyphenol contents and are effective in activity by hot water extraction.
