PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus for detecting the fault of an A/D conversion substrate without irradiating a subject with radiation.SOLUTION: The X-ray CT apparatus includes two operation modes, i.e., an image generation mode and a fault detection mode. In the fault detection mode, an A/D conversion control unit 104 transmits a control signal to the A/D conversion substrate 102 so as to set a setting condition included in the control signal in an A/D conversion element 201.
