The present invention relates to a functional health food composition for alleviating anorexia and a method for alleviating anorexia using the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a composition for alleviating anorexia, comprising Atractylodis rhizoma alba, Angelica gigas, Astragalus membranaceus, Lonicera japonica, Taraxacum platycarpum, Prunella vulgaris, and the like； a method for alleviating anorexia using the same； a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating anorexia； and a co-administration preparation having alleviated side effects of anticancer agents. According to the present invention, the functional health food composition for alleviating anorexia increases the food intake by increasing reduced appetite, increases the body weight by preventing body weight loss, and in particular, shows an excellent effect of alleviating reduced appetite due to side effects of an anticancer agent.본 발명은 식욕부진 개선용 건강기능식품 조성물 및 이를 이용한 식욕부진 개선방법에 관한 것이다. 구체적으로는 백출, 당귀, 황기, 금은화, 포공영 및 하고초 등을 포함하는 식욕부진 개선용 조성물, 이를 이용한 식욕부진 개선방법, 식욕부진 예방 또는 치료용 약학 조성물 및 항암제의 부작용이 개선된 병용투여제제에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 식욕부진 개선용 건강기능식품 조성물은 떨어진 식욕을 증가시켜 음식 섭취량을 증가시키고, 체중 감소를 막아 체중을 증가시키게 된다. 특히 항암제의 부작용으로 인한 식욕부진을 개선하는 효과가 우수하다.
