PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for timing colonoscopy procedure in order to purify a colon properly.SOLUTION: A method comprises a step of: administering a picosulfate bowel composition to a patient, and a step of performing a colonoscopy procedure in less than about 4 hours after the administration of the composition, wherein the step of performing the procedure occurs from about 3 hours to about 1 hour after the administration of the bowel composition. The method also comprises the steps of: administering a first bowel composition to a patient on the day before the procedure； administering a second bowel composition to a patient on the day of the procedure； and performing the procedure in less than about 4 hours after the administration of the second bowel composition.
