PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide useful information on nerve fibers according to the situations during an operation.SOLUTION: The MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) apparatus 100 extracts the nerve fibers from a diffusion tensor image. The MRI apparatus 100 receives coordinates measured by a pointing device 11 for measuring a spatial position, and converts the received coordinates into a value of a coordinate system corresponding to a DTT (diffusion tensor tractography) image. The MRI apparatus 100 sets interactive ROI for specifying a region to select the nerve fiber, in a position in the DTT image indicated by the converted value.
