PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse monitor and a program etc. for easily fitting equipment in an appropriate state by determining whether or not pressing is appropriate and storing and displaying holding state-specifying information when pressing is determined to be appropriate.SOLUTION: A pulse monitor includes: a pulse wave detection unit 10 having a pulse wave sensor 11 for outputting a pulse wave sensor signal a processing unit 100 for computing pulsation information on the basis of the signal outputted from the pulse wave detection unit 10 a display unit 70 for displaying a processing result of the processing unit 100 a storage unit 90 for storing the processing result of the processing unit 100 and a holding mechanism 300 for holding the pulse monitor on the subject. The processing unit 100 determines whether or not the pressing of the pulse wave detection unit 10 against the subject is appropriate pressing. The storage unit 90 stores holding state-specifying information for specifying the holding state of the holding mechanism 300 when the pressing has been determined to be appropriate. The processing unit 100 performs a control for displaying the holding state-specifying information on the display unit 70.
