PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image diagnostic apparatus and a PET-MRI apparatus capable of improving image quality.SOLUTION: The medical image diagnostic apparatus relating to an embodiment includes a first imaging part, a second imaging part, a position specification part, and a movement control part. The first imaging part is a PET detector for detecting annihilation radiation emitted from a positive electron emitting nuclide to perform imaging by PET with a first PET detector and a second PET detector provided so as to be able to adjust a mutual interval between them. The second imaging part performs imaging by an imaging method different from that of the first imaging part. The position specification part specifies the positions of the first PET detector and the second PET detector on the basis of a medical image imaged by the second imaging part. The movement control part controls the movement of the first PET detector and the second PET detector in accordance with the specified position. The first imaging part and the second imaging part performs imaging after the movement of the first PET detector and the second PET detector.【課題】画質を向上することができる医用画像診断装置及びＰＥＴ－ＭＲＩ装置を提供することである。【解決手段】実施形態に係る医用画像診断装置は、第１撮像部と、第２撮像部と、位置特定部と、移動制御部とを備える。第１撮像部は、陽電子放出核種から放出された消滅放射線を検出するＰＥＴ検出器であって相互の間隔を調整可能に設けられた第１ＰＥＴ検出器及び第２ＰＥＴ検出器によって、ＰＥＴによる撮像を行う。第２撮像部は、前記第１撮像部とは異なる撮像法による撮像を行う。位置特定部は、前記第２撮像部によって撮像された医用画像に基づいて、前記第１ＰＥＴ検出器及び前記第２ＰＥＴ検出器の位置を特定する。移動制御部は、特定された前記位置に応じて、前記第１ＰＥＴ検出器及び前記第２ＰＥＴ検出器の移動を制御する。第１撮像部及び第２撮像部は、前記第１ＰＥＴ検出器及び前記第２ＰＥＴ検出器の移動後に、撮像を行う。【選択図】図１
