[Problem] To provide a moisture meter which easily enables the measurement of the moisture content of a human subject and, therefore, is efficient as an aid to appropriately control the moisture content of the subject.[Solution] A moisture meter (1) comprises a moisture measurement part (30) which is to be held under the armpit (R) of a human subject (M) and by which the moisture content in the armpit (R) is measured to thereby determine the moisture content of the subject (M). The moisture measurement part (30) is provided with a round covering member (34), which is a mesh-shaped member and, when held under the armpit (R), allows the permeation of vapor, i.e., the moisture in the armpit (R), and a humidity sensor (33) which is provided within the round covering member (34) and brought into contact with the vapor.
