PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-safety ultrasonic catheter for renal nerves having a simple configuration without any water-cooling system, capable of reaching an interior of a further fine blood vessel as compared with the conventional products, and highly efficiently heating/cauterizing only an object part where the renal nerves are present.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic catheter for renal nerves according to the present invention includes: a catheter unit 2 including a catheter body an ultrasonic vibration unit 1 rotatably disposed at a distal end of the catheter body rotation means for rotating the ultrasonic vibration unit 1 with a longitudinal axis of the catheter body as a rotary axis and control means. The ultrasonic vibration unit 1 includes a capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducer (CMUT) array 11 capable of applying a high-intensity focused ultrasonic wave (HIFU) for heating the renal nerves.
