PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon capable of being expanded without occurrence of displacement and deviation in a desired treatment area, a balloon catheter using the balloon, and a manufacturing method by which the balloon can be easily obtained.SOLUTION: A balloon for use in a balloon catheter includes a base balloon, and a reinforcement layer that is arranged in such a manner as to surround the outside of the base balloon. The reinforcement layer of the balloon has a discontinuous part that is formed by cutting a part of a component member thereof.
