PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for purifying waste water contaminated with various living sources where the waste water contaminated with various living sources can be efficiently purified, further, the decrease in the cross section to pass water in a channel is reduced, and labor required for maintenance can be reduced as well. SOLUTION: Drain pipes 3 draining waste water contaminated with various living sources generated in each house into the channel 2 are provided at intervals in the elongating direction of the channel per house. In the channel 2, vegetation purification parts 5 provided correspondingly to the drain pipes 3 are independently installed at intervals in the elongating direction of the channel. Each vegetation purification part 5 is formed so as to be charged with a filler 7 of tuff within a storage measure 6 whose upper end is opened. On the uppermost stream side of the storage measure 6, waste water contaminated with various living sources is made to flow from each drain pipe 3 into the vegetation purification part. The waste water contaminated with various living sources made to flow down into the storage measure 6 is discharged to the channel 2 at the downstream edge of the storage measure 6.
