There is provided a dilator (1340) for facilitation of intraluminal medical procedures within the neurovasculature. The dilator (1340) comprises a flexible distal dilator portion (1360) having a proximal end region and a distal end region having a distal tapered tip (1346), a single lumen, and an outer diameter, wherein the single lumen extends longitudinally through the dilator portion to a distal opening at the distal tapered tip (1346). The dilator (1340) further comprises a spine (1362) extending proximally from the proximal end region of the dilator portion (1360), wherein the spine (1362) is made of a different material than the dilator portion (1360) and has a single lumen that communicates with the single lumen of the dilator portion (1360).
