PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a silica inclusion body of a medicament in a mild condition, and to provide a pharmaceutical composition containing the silica inclusion body of the medicament.
SOLUTION: The method for producing the silica inclusion body of the medicament includes preparing a two-layer separated liquid comprising a layer of an aqueous solution of the medicament and a liquid layer of an alkoxysilane to form the silica inclusion body of the medicament at the interface of the two-layer separated liquid. The pharmaceutical composition is obtained by mixing the silica inclusion body with a supporting material allowable to a living body or wrapping the silica inclusion body with the supporting material in a capsule shape. The medicament is at least one selected from the group consisting of antibiotic materials and the like in various kinds of action forms such as cell wall synthesis inhibition, cell membrane inhibition and nucleic acid synthesis inhibition, and is useful for treating or preventing osteomyelitis, or as a bone cavity supplementation agent or a bone adhesive.
