To permit the activity of a person to be monitored during staying at home to be concentratedly monitored and its appropriateness to be confirmed at a center side.
SOLUTION: The activity monitoring system collects the numbers of steps per day of patients which are measured by activity sensors SS1 to SSm mounted ON the patients by an activity processing server SV through a communication network NW. The activity processing server SV compares the numbers of steps per day of the patients with preset reference upper limit and reference lower limit values of the number of steps and decides whether or not the collected numbers of steps of the patients are within an appropriate range under the control of a collation processing block 332 and transmits a warning message to operation terminals of physicians in charge when the numbers are out of the appropriate range. The activity processing server SV prepares perusal screen data for the patients and medical workers in response to requests for perusal from the operation terminals TMn for the patients and the operation terminals TM1 for the medical workers and transmits the data to the operation terminals TMn and TM1 of requestors.
