<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for fixing carbon dioxide at a low cost without causing problems regarding the leakage of CO<；SB>；2<；/SB>；and influence on the environment. <；P>；SOLUTION: Flux is added to a coal gasification furnace for gasifying coal, and carbon dioxide is fixed to slag produced by the addition of the flux. The flux includes, by mass, 5 to 50% CaO, 0.5 to 20% MgO and 1.0 to 15% Fe<；SB>；2<；/SB>；O<；SB>；3<；/SB>；, the slag includes 10 to 65% CaO, 1.0 to 30% MgO and 2.0 to 25% Fe<；SB>；2<；/SB>；O<；SB>；3<；/SB>；, and, in the slag, the carbon dioxide can be fixed by 5 to 30%. <；P>；COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
