An object of the present invention is to provide a glycosylated chlorin e6 derivative that is excellent in tumoricidal cellularity (phototoxicity) for photodynamic therapy and growth inhibitory effect on tumor tissue. The glycosylated chlorin e6 derivative of the present invention may also be applied for photodynamic diagnosis. The glycosylated chlorin e6 derivative of the present invention is a glycosylated chlorin e6 derivative represented by the following general formula (1), or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.本発明は、光線力学的療法用の殺腫瘍細胞性（光毒性）および腫瘍組織の成長抑制効果に優れるグリコシル化クロリンｅ６誘導体を提供することを課題とする。また、本発明のグリコシル化クロリンｅ６誘導体は光線力学的診断用にも適用の可能性がある。本発明のグリコシル化クロリンｅ６誘導体は、下記一般式（１）で示されるグリコシル化クロリンｅ６誘導体、またはその薬学的に許容される塩である。
