The invention relates to a preparation comprising 5-50% by weight of IsphagulaHusk； 1-20% by weight of at least one amino acid； 20-80% by weight of at leastone carbohydrate and electrolytes. The preparation is for use as atherapeutical agent, such as for use in treating a state of disorder in theintestinal system of monogastric animals, including humans. A state ofdisorder in the intestinal system is in particular all intestinal disorders inwhich the epithelial layer is damaged, mostly as a result of malabsorptiondiarrhoea, also associated with dehydration.
