PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power requirements of apparatus.SOLUTION: An X-ray CT apparatus according to the embodiment comprises an X-ray projection unit, an X-ray detection unit, a plurality of operation units, and a power source control unit. The X-ray projection unit projects X-rays onto a subject. The X-ray detection unit detects X-rays transmitted through the subject and outputs electric signals on the basis of the X-rays. The plurality of operation units execute the processes involved in the generation of images based on the electric signals.
