The present invention relates to a biofuel cell. According to the concept of the present invention, an anode, including a stainless-steel basket for containing the bacterial substrate, is adjoined to a cathode chamber via a cation-exchange membrane. Once assembled, the biofuel cell (anode/substrate and cathode compartment) is placed in contact with or submerged into the organic effluent to be treated, which is contained in a receptacle.La présente invention traite d'une biopile. Selon le concept de la présente invention, l'anode comprenant un panier en acier inoxydable contenant le support bactérien est accolé à la chambre cathodique via une membrane échangeuse de cations. Une fois assemblées, la biopile (anode-support et compartiment cathodique) est mise en contact ou immergée dans l'effluent organique à traiter contenu dans un réceptacle.
