PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scale which can smoothen the operability of a wheelchair at the time of measuring the weight of a subject sitting in the wheelchair.SOLUTION: The scale 11 includes a platform 14 carrying the wheelchair on which the subject sits and a handrail member 24 which the subject grips. The handrail member 24 has a central part 27 and a pair of legs 27A and 27B. A pair of connection members 25a and 25b to which the legs 27A and 27B of the handrail member 24 are connected removably is supported by the platform 14. The legs 27A and 27B can be connected to the connection members 25a and 25b when the central part 27 of the handrail member 24 is located at a position outside the connection members 25a and 25b in relation to the platform 14.
