PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical system capable of generating a spectral image with a high S/N ratio when performing observation based on fluorescent light emitted from a fluorescent medicine.SOLUTION: A medical system includes: a light source part for simultaneously generating excitation light for generating fluorescent light having a peak wavelength in a first wavelength band and having intensity in a second wavelength band different from the first wavelength band, and reference light having a peak wavelength in the second wavelength band an image pickup device for imaging fluorescent light by a first pixel group to generate a first imaging signal, and imaging fluorescent light and reflected light with a second pixel group to generate a second imaging signal a light quantity setting part for setting a light quantity of the excitation light and the reference light so that a fluorescent light component is not reproduced as a gradation value when the second imaging signal is subjected to gradation processing and an adjustment part for performing an adjustment for arithmetic processing to generate a spectral image based on the first imaging signal and the second imaging signal.
