PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical instrument capable of easily securing the airway of a subject without depending upon the skill level of an operator.SOLUTION: A medical instrument according to the present invention is used to secure the airway of a subject, comprising: a tubular member which is inserted through the oral cavity or nasal cavity of the subject such that a tip part thereof is positioned in a specified site of the subject and a long insertion part which has an imaging unit at the tip part thereof and is inserted into the tubular member slidably relative to the tubular member.
