PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cream giving radiation hormesis action to human body.SOLUTION: The cream contains a thorium series radioactive substance powder in an amount corresponding to 5.0-300.0 Bq based on 1 g of a base. When the cream is rubbed into the skin of the user, high-energy beta-ray emitted from bismuth in the cream penetrates about 10 mm depth in the body to the inner skin and activates DNA of a cell in the inner skin. Consequently, the cream is expected to have actions such as synthesis of collagen by the activation of subcutaneous fibroblast cell of the user, improvement of permeability through the cutaneous cell membrane, activation of DNA repair action, stabilization of autonomic nerve and improvement of hormone secretion.
