Provided are systems and methods for calculating exercise activity parameters. A plurality of housings are located at different positions on a user body. The housings are configured to be engaged with an electronic module, which includes a sensor and a processor arranged to calculate exercise activity parameters, such that the electronic module is controlled. Each of the housings either includes or is connected with an identification memory which stores information for identifying a position of the housing. The electronic module uses position information in order to select an algorithm which is to be used for calculating the exercise activity parameters.
