A medicine reminder device includes a housing, a processing unit, a schedule-setting inputting unit, a timing unit, a plurality of light emitting units and a plurality of medicine containing units. The schedule-setting input unit, the timing unit and the light emitting units are coupled to the processing unit. Each of the medicine containing units corresponds to at least one of the light emitting units for at least a part of the light emitted from the light emitting unit to enter into the medicine containing unit and then transmit to the outside. The processing unit receives a schedule setting event by the schedule-setting inputting unit and then generates a timing information. The timing unit receives the timing information to execute a timing event. The processing unit outputs a control signal in accordance with the result resulting from the execution of the timing unit.
