A wound dressing dressing suitable for use as part of a reduced pressure wound treatment system may include one or more shrinkable elements and gripping members of a sealed drape. The shrinkable element can be bonded to the sealing drape and, when activated, is configured to shrink, creating a closing force. The gripping member is coupled to the sealing drape and is configured to transmit a closing force to the epidermis of the patient.
