The present invention relates to an apparatus to assist binding of an elastic bandage, used to bind an elastic bandage to stop bleeding. The apparatus comprises: at least one upper fixing plate and at least one lower fixing plate, wherein the upper fixing plate is to be placed on the waist, the inside face being shaped like the waist the lower fixing plate is to be placed on the outside of the thigh, the inside face being shaped like the thigh and the upper fixing plate and the lower fixing plate both also have an outside face used to make contact with the elastic bandage, to prevent the elastic bandage from slipping and twisting. After a patient has undergone surgery, the elastic bandage is wound on the apparatus to assist binding and can effectively prevent the elastic bandage from slipping and twisting. In comparison with conventional methods of stopping bleeding with bandages, after using the apparatus to assist binding, the bandage will not cut into the flesh, effectively lessening the pain felt by the patient.
