PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely and accurately perform the counting of sewing needles.SOLUTION: In this sewing needle case 1, the upper opening of a case body 11, in which used sewing needles 9 are housed, is closed by a case body 11a having the same structure as the case body 11. Further, a bottom uneven structure 1112 is formed over the almost whole of the upper surface (inner surface) of the case bottom 111 of the case body 11. By this constitution, the sewing needles wetted with blood or the like can be prevented from strongly sticking to the case bottom 111, the sewing needle case 1 can safely be shaken while preventing the sewing needles from popping out of the case body 11 and a plurality of the sewing needles approaching to be overlapped with each other or stuck to each other on the case bottom 111 can be easily separated by shaking the sewing needle case 1.
