PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod body for a fishing rod capable of sufficiently achieving weight reduction while improving rigidity.SOLUTION: A tip rod is formed by winding around a core bar, a first prepreg sheet 3A and a second prepreg sheet 3B, both of which are formed by having matrix resin impregnated in a reinforced fiber c group of a high elastic modulus paralleled in one direction, in an overlapping and biasing manner, such that the first reinforced fiber c group of the first prepreg sheet 3A and the second reinforced fiber c group of the second prepreg sheet 3B intersect with each other and align symmetrically with reference to the rod axis X, thereby forming a cylindrical body having the uniform number of plies over the entire length thereof.
