PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practically effective method capable of quickly and surely analyzing functions of taste-related gene such as taste receptor gene by using fishes. SOLUTION: The identification method for rapidly and surely identifying functions of the taste receptor gene uses a system which comprises introducing the objective taste receptor gene into embryo cells of Oryzias latipes in the downstream of the vector having a base sequence having promoter functions specifically expressing in Oryzias latipes gene-derived taste organs of fishes so as to prepare transgenic Oryzaias latipes efficiently expressed the introduced taste receptor gene, measuring fluorescence intensity in fish bodies by breeding the Oryzaias latipes with diet containing a fluorescent substance and a taste substance, and tracing change of feeding of fishes, changed by expressed gene products.
