The present disclosure relates to neural derived adult pluripotent stem cells characterized by expression of Oct4, Sox2, c-Myc, and Klf4, methods for obtaining them, and uses thereof. The present disclosure provides neural derived adult pluripotent stem cells (referred to herein as NEDAPS cells), methods for obtaining them, differentiated cells therefrom, and use of NEDAPS cells and their differentiated progeny .
