Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Holzbehandlungssubstanz, die eine Zusammensetzung zumindest aus einem Holzbehandlungswirkstoff und einem Trägermaterial (20) aufweist. Die Holzbehandlungssubstanz ist für die Behandlung des Holzes gegen den Befall durch einen ersten Pilz ausgebildet. Der Holzbehandlungswirkstoff weist einen als Antagonist gegen den ersten Pilz wirkenden zweiten Pilz und/oder dessen Pilzsporen auf. Das Trägermaterial (20) weist ein Liquid und ein superabsorbierendes Polymer auf und ist gelartig. Ferner betrifft die Erfindung eine Holzbehandlungsvorrichtung, mit der der Pilz, resp. Sporen, in das Holz verbracht werden und eine Verwendung der Holzbehandlungssubstanz, sowie ein Verfahren zur Behandlung von Holz unter Verwendung einer der erfindungsgemäßen Holzbehandlungsvorrichtungen (1) und der Holzbehandlungssubstanz.The present invention relates to a wood treatment substance having a composition of at least a wood treatment agent and a carrier material (20).
