1. A method of treating a fungal infection in a subject, said method comprising (i) administering a class of echinocandin compound at a saturation dose to said subject； and (ii) orally or subcutaneously administering one or more maintenance doses of said echinocandin class compound to said subject, wherein each of said saturation dose and said maintenance dose is administered in an amount that, taken together, is sufficient to treat a fungal infection. The method of claim 1, wherein said saturation dose is administered intravenously. The method of claim 2, wherein said saturation dose is administered in an amount sufficient to achieve an average stable plasma concentration of said class of echinocandin from 100 ng / ml to 20,000 ng / ml. The method of claim 2, wherein the amount of the echinocandin class compound administered intravenously to said subject is from 0.5 mg / kg to 20 mg / kg. The method of claim 2, wherein the amount of the echinocandin class compound administered intravenously to said subject is from 25 mg to 1400 mg over a 24 hour period. The method of claim 1, wherein said saturation dose is administered orally. A method according to claim 6, wherein the amount of the echinocandin class compound administered orally to the subject is from 250 mg to 4 g over a period of 24 hours.
