An object of the present invention is to provide a novel therapeutic agent for liver disease. The present invention is a mesenchymal stem cell characterized by high expression of a tissue factor pathway inhibitor (TFPI). It is preferable that the mesenchymal stem cells are derived from an allogeneic or adipose tissue.
