PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter for improving operability by reducing occurrences of guide wire separation.SOLUTION: The catheter includes: a catheter body 2 which is long and has a lumen 21 extended along a longitudinal direction and a guide wire insertion part 3 which is provided on the tip side of the catheter body 2, forms a pipe shape through which a guide wire is inserted, includes a tip opening part 37 and a distal end opening part 36, and is provided with the distal end opening part 36 eccentrically from a central shaft 24 of the catheter body 2.
