The present invention relates to beverage compositions and beverage products,which include taste potentiators to enhance the perception of activesubstancescontained therein. More specifically, some embodiments provide potentiatorcompositions, which include at least one active substance, such as asweetener,and at least one potentiator, such as a sweetness potentiator, which maintainsorenhances the sweetness intensity of the composition or permits reduction oftheamount of natural or artificial sweeteners in the composition.
