The present invention relates to an artificial lung insertable in a human body, which can be transplanted into a human body to replace live lungs in case where the live lungs have lost their functions due to lung cancer or lung diseases. The artificial lung insertable in a human body comprises: a lung cavity housing which includes a pulmonary artery blood inlet, a pulmonary vein blood outlet, and an air breathing inlet and outlet, to allow blood to flow therein； a gas solvent-blood gas exchanger which is partitioned by a gas exchange membrane to allow a gas exchange to occur between the blood flowing inside the lung cavity housing and a gas solvent； an air-gas solvent gas exchanger which is disposed inside the gas solvent-blood gas exchanger and connected to a gas solvent channel of the gas solvent-blood gas exchanger, and includes a capillary made of a gas exchange membrane to allow a gas exchange to occur between air and the gas solvent； a gas solvent piston pump which provides a driving force needed for circulation of the gas solvent in the gas solvent-blood gas exchanger； and an air breathing piston pump which provides a driving force needed for breathing flow of air of the air-gas solvent gas exchanger.본 발명은 폐암이나 만성 폐질환으로 인해 생체 폐가 기능을 잃은 경우에 생체 폐를 대체하여 인체 내에 이식할 수 있는 인체에 삽입 가능한 인공 폐에 관한 것으로, 폐동맥혈액유입구 및 폐정맥혈액유출구와 공기호흡유출입구가 형성되고 내부에 혈액이 흐르도록 형성된 폐강 하우징과； 상기 폐강 하우징 내부에 흐르는 혈액과 기체용매 사이에 기체교환이 이루어지도록 기체교환막으로 구획 형성되는 기체용매-혈액 기체교환기와； 상기 기체용매-혈액 기체교환기 내부에 상기 기체용매-혈액 기체교환기의 기체용매 유로와 연통되고 공기와 기체용매 사이에 기체교환이 이루어지도록 기체교환막으로 이루어진 미세관이 구비되는 공기-기체용매 기체교환기와； 상기 기체용매-혈액 기체교환기의 기체용매의 순환흐름에 필요한 동력을 제공하는 기체용매 피스톤펌프와； 상기 공기-기체용매 기체교환기의 공기의 호흡 흐름에 필요한 동력을 제공하는 공기호흡 피스톤펌프；를 포함하여 구성되는 인체에 삽입 가능한 인공 폐에 관한 것이다.
