The invention relates to a surgical staple defining a median folding zone (152) which is continued by a pair of branches (100, 200), each branch (100, 200) having a pointed fastening end (180, 280) and an intermediate clamping zone situated between the median folding zone (152) and the pointed fastening end (180, 280).
