The present invention relates to a new antibody anti-Nectin-4. Nectin-4 is a tumor-associated antigen that is overexpressed in 30%, 49%, and 86% of some cancers, notably tumors with poor prognosis, breast, ovarian, and lung, respectively. Treatment remains unclear. Therefore, the present inventors have developed a new targeted therapy based on an antibody with specificity for Nectin-4 (called 14A5.2 mab). In fact, we have chosen this antibody because of its inherent prophylactic anti-metastatic properties and also for the treatment of localized primary and metastatic cancers. In addition, 14A5.2 mab may be indicated for the treatment of cancer resistant to ASG-22ME (from Astellas).
