PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope for which an airtightness inspection and washing are efficiently performed.SOLUTION: To a connector 62 of a communication port 58 provided in the endoscope 10, a connector 74 of an air supply tester 72 is connected. Then, compressed air is supplied from the air supply tester 72 to the internal space 56 of the endoscope 10 to expand a balloon 60. Thereafter, the connector 74 is detached from the connector 62, and the endoscope 10 is immersed in the liquid of a washing device and washed. When washing the endoscope 10, the endoscope 10 is washed while observing the state of the balloon 60. That is, an airtight state of the endoscope 10 is inspected while washing the endoscope 10 by the washing device. During washing, even when a small hole is generated on the endoscope 10 and an airtight function of the endoscope 10 is degraded, since the internal space 56 is pressurized to a high pressure by the balloon 60, the liquid is prevented from infiltrating into the internal space 56.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】気密検査と洗浄とを効率よく実施することができる内視鏡を提供する。【解決手段】内視鏡10に備えられた連通口58のコネクタ62に、送気テスタ72のコネクタ74を接続する。そして、送気テスタ72から圧縮空気を内視鏡10の内部空間56に送気して、バルーン60を膨張させる。この後、コネクタ62からコネクタ74を取り外し、内視鏡10を洗浄装置の液体に浸して洗浄する。内視鏡10の洗浄時には、バルーン60の状態を観察しながら内視鏡10を洗浄する。すなわち、内視鏡10を洗浄装置によって洗浄しながら内視鏡10の気密状態を検査する。洗浄時において、内視鏡10に小孔が生じて内視鏡10の気密機能が低下している場合でも、バルーン60によって内部空間56が高圧に加圧されているので、内部空間56に液体が浸入するのを防止できる。【選択図】図4
