The present invention relates to a polypeptide having a base amino acid sequence and wherein at least two amino acid residue side chains are substituted with functional Michael acceptor groups. The invention further relates to cosmetic compositions comprising said polypeptide, a method for repairing damaged hair using the polypeptide or composition, and to the use of the polypeptide or composition in such methods.
