PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ruler for gardening for setting or arranging flowers, seedlings, plants, tiles, pebble, and the like, at equal intervals or dividing a circle or readily creating a geometrical pattern, and the like. SOLUTION: In the ruler for gardening, a graduated gauge is attached to an L-shaped rod and a metal fitting 3 for fitting a string can be fixed without using a tool at an arbitrary position and only one long string is wound around the protruded part 7 of the metal fitting 3 for fitting the string and the string is fixed by a loosening-preventing claw 8 at the top of the protruded part 7.
