A carton 10 formed from a blank 12 with flaps 26, 32 which overlap but have gaps between them. Preferably the carton is polygonal, ideally tubular rectangular, in plan. While it may be made from a single blank this is ideally divided into two portions 12, 84 before assembly The carton may be collapsible. One flap 84 secures to the top of opposed side walls 66, 68 by tabs 88 projecting through slots 110 formed in further tabs 106 at the top of said walls. The other is connected to a third wall 62 by a fold and can be secured in place by triangular tabs 80 projecting up from the flaps edges and abutting the first flap 84. The container can also have a hinged 92 lid 90. The blank could be made from card with waterproofing on one side. It can have silver based antimicrobial properties and malodour control such as a fragrance.
