The invention relates to a method for monitoring an automation technology system (A) comprising a fieldbus access unit (FE), in particular a processor unit, a gateway or an edge device which has a communication link to at least one first wired or wireless communication network (KN1), the first communication network (KN1) being equipped with a plurality of field devices (F1, F2, F3,..., FN) and network nodes (NK1, NK2, NK3,..., NKm).
