PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a metal powder with a narrow grain size distribution and less connected grains by a gas-phase reduction method allowing uniform reaction of a metal halide gas with a reductive gas.SOLUTION: A method of producing a metal powder by a gas-phase chemical reaction of two or more gases. A reactor consists of a reaction portion in which gases are caused to undergo the gas-phase chemical reaction to obtain a powder and a cooling portion cooling the produced powder, and a plurality of nozzles of a multiplex tube structure introducing gases to the reaction portion are provided in the reaction portion. A metal halide gas is jetted from one of the center tube of the multiplex tube structure and an outer peripheral tube arranged so as to surround the center tube, and a reductive gas is jetted from the other of the center and outer peripheral tubes. The metal halide gas is reduced by the reductive gas to produce the metal powder. At least one of the metal halide gas and the reductive gas is
