The splint material is contained in tear resistant outer pouch and an inner protective sleeve where a water-laden gel is contained in a pouch situated in direct contact with the splint material. The liquid pouch will be torn when a longitudinal tab, which is an integral part of the pouch, is pulled out releasing the water-laden gel which will come in contact with the splint system causing it to cure. 10
