PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper in which the fitting of the section between hips is improved and the leakage is prevented while controlling slipping down.SOLUTION: The disposable diaper includes: leakproof banks 6 at both side sections a leakproof bank elastic member 8 that is disposed at a free end side of the leakproof bank 6 in an extended state and a leg surrounding elastic member 9 that is disposed at an outside of a proximal end of the leakproof bank 6 and a front body and a back body provided at a developed state, wherein the front body and the back body each have a hip region and a crotch region. The crotch regions of the front body and the back body each have a front half section and a latter half section. A stretch magnification of the leakproof bank elastic member 8 is made larger in a latter half section 12 of the crotch region of the front body than that in the other region. In the latter half section 12 of the front crotch region of the front body, a stretch magnification of the leakproof bank elastic member 8 is made larger than a stretch magnification of the leg surrounding elastic member 9 and in a latter half section 14 of the crotch region of the back body, stretch magnifications of the leakproof bank elastic member 8 and the leg surrounding elastic member 9 are made almost equal to each other.
