The present invention relates to an antiviral pharmaceutical composition comprising micafungin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. Specifically, micafungin increases viability of cells infected by enterovirus 71 (EV71) (BrCr type, H type, and 1095 type), coxsackievirus B3 (CVB3), and human rhinovirus (HRV) including HRV-14, HRV-21, and HRV-71, and also ameliorates pancreopathy and reduction in body weight of a mouse infected by CVB3, thereby being useful as antiviral pharmaceutical compositions.본 발명은 미카펀진(micafungin) 또는 이의 약학적으로 허용 가능한 염을 유효성분으로 함유하는 항바이러스용 약학적 조성물에 관한 것으로, 구체적으로는 미카펀진이 EV71(enterovirus 71)(BrCr 타입, H 타입 및 1095 타입), CVB3(coxsackievirus B3) 및 HRV(human rhinovirus)(HRV-14, HRV-21, HRV-71)으로 감염시킨 세포의 생존률을 증가시키고, CVB3가 감염된 마우스의 몸무게 저하 및 췌장 병리를 개선하는 것을 확인하여, 항바이러스용 약학적 조성물로 유용하게 이용될 수 있다.
