The invention relates to, a dental prosthesis (1), comprising a prosthesis base (2) and at least one artificial tooth (3), and comprising at least one microdrive (5) for detaching the dental prosthesis (1) from an alveolar crest (6). The invention further relates to a method for removing such a dental prosthesis (1) from an oral cavity, wherein the dental prosthesis (1) is detached from an alveolar crest (6) in the oral cavity by means of a microdrive (5) and then manually removed from the oral cavity. In order to detach a dental prosthesis adhering to the alveolar crest (6), the microdrive (5), according to the invention, is a micromotor, which drives a lifting means (7), which lifts the dental prosthesis (1) from the alveolar crest (6).
